We understand that some of you may not be familiar with the traditional attire for all of the different events included in an Indian wedding. But there is no need to stress, we are here to help. It is important to us that everyone not only looks their best, but feels their best. There are multiple events that will occur during our wedding weekend, each with their own traditional Indian attire. Some of these events are for close family only. Please refer to your invitation for the events that we look forward to seeing you. We encourage everyone to dress in Indian attire, but it is not required. If you are not comfortable wearing Indian clothing, we have specified the appropriate attire for each event below along with a few options for both men and women to wear. If you choose to wear Indian attire for any of these events, there are many websites where Indian clothing may be purchased. You may also find Indian clothing stores in your local area, especially if you live in Canada or the US. HOTEL RESERVATIONS: Orlando has many hotel and private home rentals available. We have secured specially discounted rates for our guests at three local hotels---Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort, the wedding venue; Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista, only 1 mile from the wedding venue; and Rosen Plaza Hotel on International Drive, only 5.5 miles from the wedding venue. To reserve your room with the special discounted room rate at these three hotels, please follow the directions below. Please remember that reservations and booking are subject to the individual hotel's availability. So, please make your reservation early in order to get the discounted rate. AIRPORTS: For our guests who are flying into Orlando, we have a beautiful international airport. The Orlando International Airport (MCO) is 17.3 miles (approx. 25 to 30 minutes) from the wedding venue at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. The airport has flights from all over the U.S. and the world arriving daily. LOCAL TRANSPORTATION: Transportation around Orlando can be challenging due to the large number of residents and visitors, as well as our confusingly named roads. Options to get from the airport to the wedding venue or your hotel, include rental cars, taxis, and rideshares (Uber/Lyft). If you rent a car, you will likely need to pay for the toll package because the toll booths on many of our highways are cashless. Also, remember if you have a rental car and are staying at any of the local hotels, you will need to pay for daily parking at the hotel. If you are planning on just traveling for the wedding and staying at the wedding venue or at a hotel within 1 or 2 miles of the wedding venue, then using taxis or rideshares will likely be your most convenient and inexpensive option. For the wedding, there is a free parking lot open on October 31, 2026 at the wedding venue.
